Susan Patrick is co-owner and executive vice president of Legend Communications, which has 15 radio stations in three clusters: Cody, Sheridan and Gillette, Wyo. Susan also holds an ownership interest in GoodRadio TV LLC with stations in Iowa and Missouri. In addition to her radio ownership, Susan is managing partner of Patrick Communications LLC, one of the most successful media brokerage firms in the industry. Susan has been involved in the media brokerage business for more than 20 years and has personally brokered the sale of broadcast and cable properties totaling hundreds of millions of dollars. She also oversees all appraisal and investment banking projects for the firm. Appraisal clients include major banks and Wall Street investment firms, the Internal Revenue Service, as well as scores of both publicly and privately held communications companies.
Susan has also provided expert testimony and reports for clients in matters before state and federal courts as well as the Federal Communications Commission. She has authored several articles for trade publications and is a frequent speaker and panelist at communications seminars and state association meetings.
Susan has been named one of Radio Ink's 50 Most Influential Women annually since 2003 and was selected again in 2008. In 2005, she was named one of Maryland's 100 Most Outstanding Women. She was also inducted into the Ohio University College of Communication's Hall of Fame in 2005. Susan serves as a member of the University of Maryland's Board of Visitors for the College of Journalism. She also serves as a trustee of Glenelg Country School and participates in many charitable activities.
Susan holds a B.A. degree in communications from the University of Iowa and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
