Jacobs Media and Arbitron to Unveil Results of Mobile Devices Study During 2010 Radio Show

--'Goin' Mobile' Super Session to examine the impact mobile devices have on broadcasters and the American consumer--

WASHINGTON -- A Jacobs Media and Arbitron study examining how consumers are using mobile devices will be revealed during the 2010 Radio Show held September 29 - October 1 at the Grand Hyatt Washington. Titled "Goin' Mobile," the Super Session will be held at 9:00 a.m. on September 30, and will examine how the recent explosion of mobile devices has changed the way Americans consume media.

"Jacobs Media is thrilled to present our newest ethnographic study - 'Goin' Mobile' at the 2010 Radio Show," said Fred Jacobs, president of Jacobs Media. "Thanks to our partners at Arbitron, it's a breakthrough study focused on the digital hot spot - mobile. We'll take Radio Show attendees into cars, bars, workplaces, and homes to show the pervasive impact of smartphones and their implications on the future of radio."

Bill Rose, senior vice president of marketing at Arbitron Inc., added "Nothing is more mobile than radio, and this exciting research showcases that radio is ideally suited to leverage converging and emerging mobile platforms -- and to drive even greater impact to consumers' lives."

Through a combination of reality TV and ethnographic research, "Goin' Mobile" will provide attendees with compelling information that will examine the power of mobile devices in everyday life, as well as the impact these applications have on the way Americans interact with one another. During the session, broadcasters will also have the opportunity to delve into the sociological and societal changes brought about by mobile devices, and learn how these changes will impact the future media habits of American consumers.
