He attended IPFW and completed the National Association of Broadcasters Executive Business Program, and the Executive Integral Leadership Programs at the University of Notre Dame. He has four children. Tony is married to wife Leann.

At the young age of 13, he and his friends had a small pirate station in his basement. When he was 16 (1976) he got his first professional paying job as a disc jockey for WLYV (Country) in Fort Wayne.

He joined Federated Media in 1978 part time doing “all the shifts at least once.” In March 1984 he was promoted to Program Director of WMEE (CHR). He helped take the station to number one status where it stayed until he left the air in 1991.

Tony was also one of “Those 2 guys in the Morning” on WMEE with Charly Butcher. They achieved the highest ratings in Fort Wayne radio history. One half the people in the Fort Wayne area listened to their show every morning. Those 2 Guys in the Morning also achieved the highest average quarter hour share in the United States in 1987.

In September of 1991 Tony left the morning show and was named General Manager of WMEE and WKJG.

In 1993 Federated Media put WQHK FM on the air. Known as K105, Tony piloted the station to 6 up ratings books in a row catapulting K105 to number one, a position it has enjoyed for the last 5 years.

In 1994 Federated Media purchased an ailing WOWO Radio. Tony steered the station more toward News/Talk and the station went from 11th place to 3rd place in one rating period.

In January of 2000, at 39 years old Tony became the Chief Operating Officer of Federated Media that operates 18 radio stations in Fort Wayne, South Bend, and Northern Indiana.

In 2007, his Fort Wayne radio stations were ranked #1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in 25 – 54 adults.

Tony enjoys being active in the community, working, playing golf, and baseball.
